Videos Help Duties Provides thorough assessment, counseling, and consultation services to individuals Who present for s8fVices with substance use risk factors and/or disorders. Independently develops workable treatment plans and provides direct treatment using a wide variety of techniques for the resolution of personal, social, or environmental difficulties related to substance use disorders. Coordinates with community referral resources and makes referrals to other social or medical resources, as appropriate. Manages all aspects of developing, implementing, and evaluating individualized patient care plans for patients with substance use and abuse related problems, Proactively coordinate, facilitate, and advocate tor seamless service delivery for persons in the community dealing with impairments and dislress associated with substance use disorder. Links patients with needed community services for medical, employment, housing, and follow-up care. Responds to and intervenes in crises related to patients' resource needs and mental health concerns. Conducts comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, mental, psychosocial, and environmental needs. Engages in patient advocacy and collaborates with physicians, social agencies, mental health. and health care facilities to bridge care and gaps in services. Qualifications To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: This experience is related to the work of the position and equivalent to at least the GS-11 level in the Federal service as described in the vacancy announcement. Examples Include: Provides therapy and treatment services to individuals and families in dealing with Alcohol and other Drug dependency and related problems. Conducts assessments and develops comprehensive treatment and aftercare plans. Participates in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings, providing updates to staff about resident behavior to track and ensure residents progress in treatment. SELECTIVE FACTOR: Ability to show evidence of possession of one of the following issued by a U.S. State or Territory: LPA - Licensed Psychological Associate OR LCWS - Licensed Clinical Social Worker OR LPC - Licensed Professional Counselor OR LCAS - Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist OR CP-Clinical Psychologist.
