Substance Abuse Counselor & Alumni Coordinator

Blue Ridge Mountain Recovery Center in Ball Ground Georgia offers detox, residential and outpatient treatment to adults struggling with the disease of addiction. We are currently hiring for a Substance Abuse Counselor to work with our clients, this position would also oversee our Alumni Program. Requirements: No DUIs in the past 5 years, no more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years & be 21+ years of age. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Responsible for an assigned caseload if applicable to the program Develop and implement treatment plans, develop and maintain charts and records for person(s) receiving services Facilitate monthly alumni gatherings, meetings and social events Manage Alumni social media accounts and campaign monitor for email interaction Communicate with current clients about Alumni opportunities post discharge Conduct discharge follow up with clients track data and to engage past clients about alumni activities Work closely with Business Development Director to disseminate information to referral sources on the facility services and programs Develop and implement community relations activities for a specific target audience May participate in health fairs and special service related events First line contact for referral sources to notify them of their referrals admissions status. Provide outreach services in area of clinical specialty as needed. Four or more years' experience working in behavioral health required.
