Long- Term Substitute Clinician - Jean Garvin School: The Clinician collaborates with colleagues and Program Leadership to shape the therapeutic direction of the program. Responsibilities include direct support, consultation, therapeutic group work and crisis intervention. This role directs therapeutic interventions and supports for students and provides training to school support staff. The Jean Garvin School is an inclusive space that inspires transformation. Responsibilities: Assess, develop and oversee implementation of individualized responses to behavior/crisis plans Provide educational counseling and promote social skill development Raise awareness about social justice issues Crisis prevention and intervention Medication administration Record keeping and data collection that inform outcome reports that are required by stakeholders and Agency of Education Complete clinical notes and maintain records in compliance with agency requirements Participate in program meetings, weekly supervision and agency teams/committees as assigned Requirements: Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or mental health field 3-5 years' experience in working with children with emotional/behavioral challenges Clinical License or License Eligible and on the Roster of Non-Licensed and Non-Certified Psychotherapists (see licensing requirement notice below) Valid driver's License and use of a personal vehicle Licensing Requirement Notice Vermont regulation mandates that if you do not hold a valid clinical license then you must added to the Roster of Nonlicensed & Noncertified Psychotherapists before you can be hired for work in this position. If you are not yet on the Roster, please begin the process immediately to avoid delay in hiring. Note this process may take 3-5 days for in-state applications and up to several weeks for out-of-state applications.
