Overview

The Studio and Podcast Producer will work with a talented communications team to strategize, plan, and execute efforts to build awareness and grow audiences for internal and external Ozinga podcast channels. This role will produce and edit digital audio and video content to support Ozinga's purpose.


Principal Duties and Responsibilites:

  • Work with internal talent on the creation, development, and production of the Ozinga video podcast channel
  • Manage all aspects of production studio including scheduling, equipment maintenance, content planning, production, and distribution as well as collaborative edits of long-form videos
  • Develop strategies to engage audiences, build fan communities, and raise awareness of podcast channel
  • Collaborate with the Communications team to develop strategies to support audience growth
  • Ensure that all podcasts run smoothly and effectively
  • Maintain studio, review inventory, request equipment repairs or replacements as necessary
  • Review ongoing projects, ensuring cohesive archival of content
  • Improve the podcast channel's performance by monitoring, evaluating, and providing recommendations
  • Partner with stakeholders to build and sustain successful podcast content
  • Work with the communications team to identify and prepare key hosts and guests
  • Promote teamwork and maintain positive attitude of cooperation

Qualifications:


Education/Specialized Knowledge/Professional Certifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
  • Valid Driver's License

Experience:

  • 2-6 years podcasting experience
  • Social media experience preferred
  • Excellent news judgment and storytelling skills
  • The ability to collaborate and work with diverse stakeholders
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced environment
  • Final Cut Pro S, Premier Pro or DaVinci Resolve editing experience preferred
  • Familiarity with professional cameras, various HD and 4K formats, pre-production/planning, field production and scriptwritin

  • Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to effectively listen to fully understand problems and communicate with a team to shape a solution

Working Conditions:

  • Operates within a professional office environment
  • Routine usage of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and filing cabinets
  • Able to remain calm in high pressure situation
  • Occasional domestic travel
