We are located along the Central Coast of beautiful Monterey County California. We serve the communities of Aromas, Castroville, Elkhorn, Moss Landing, Prunedale, Royal Oaks, and portions of Salinas. Job Summary

Under the direction of the principal, performs a variety of supportive tasks designed to facilitate instructional effectiveness in the overall education, guidance, and care of students with Tier I, Tier II and Tier III student needs. Assist assigned teachers with administering formative assessment and related activities necessary to identify and place students in need of academic intervention or acceleration; assist assigned teachers in a co-teaching setting by providing instruction to individuals or small groups of students; may provide translation during conferences between English and a designated second language. May provide support to students in secondary level courses to include Math, English, science, World Languages or other content areas which all include expository reading and writing skills for content literacy. May be required to support students in need of intensive interventions inside and outside the classroom.

Requirements / Qualifications

Incumbents are required to read, speak and write in a designated second language. Fingerprint clearance from the Department of Justice and/or FBI and proof of being cleared of Tuberculosis are required prior to starting employment. Medical, dental and/or vision benefits are available for this position and are optional.
