A list of at least three (3) professional references with current contact information Posting Number STD Job Description University Advancement is seeking up to two Student Directors of Donor and Volunteer Stewardship. The position will work closely with the development team to support stewardship activities for Ohio University colleges and units as well as ensure smooth planning and facilitation of all Alumni Engagement Board related activities. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES Assist with donor stewardship. This includes preparing donor thank you correspondence and communication; creating impact reports; helping award recipients thank their donors either individually or through group stewardship events; etc. Assist with coordination of donor visits to Athens for cultivation and stewardship (including reserving rooms on campus, securing parking, preparing an itinerary, etc.) Serve as the primary facilitator and manage logistics for volunteer engagement board activities including the creation of meeting materials including agendas, briefing memos, presentations, minutes, etc. Support the college/unit leadership and the development officers to ensure that meetings are planned for in a timely manner and run with efficiency. Coordinate with development staff, outside vendors, facilities personnel, and others, as needed. (This includes reserving rooms on campus, ordering campus catering, etc.). Help develop and manage an onboarding and orientation plan for new board members. In this position, the student(s) will: Practice organizational communication and efficiency Practice organizing and running effective meetings Learn how to build and maintain relationships with people at all levels of an organization and will have the opportunity to network with alumni in a variety of fields Practice professional and confident communication Minimum Qualifications Excellent communication skills-both oral and written Ability to exercise a high level of professionalism and judgment Strong time and project management skills Ability to work independently with excellent follow-through Ability to build and maintain relationships with people at all levels of an organization- both internal and external-across a diverse range of cultural, generational, ethnic, racial, educational and social backgrounds Preferred Qualifications Department University Advancement Pay Rate $11.00/hour Posting Open Date 04/16/2024 Posting End Date 04/30/2024 Job Category Student Hourly Planning Unit Vice President for University Advancement Work Schedule 10 hours per week, arranged in collaboration with the supervisor.
