Structured Cabling IT Project Manager with Security Clearance

STRUCTURED CABLING/IT PM for Facilities Must have a secret clearance, please do not apply if you do not have an active secret clearance 3-5 years' experience in cabling projects design and implementation Project Management experience Must have recent experience in the design, integration and implementation of voice and data communications cabling systems and related infrastructure. Must have knowledge of NEC, IEEE, EIA, TIA, industry standards, and other applicable codes related to the design and layout of IT, low voltage, and telecommunications systems. Must have strong knowledge of Structured Cabling Systems from an installation and basic design perspective. Strong hands-on knowledge of multiple aspects of Telecom Room facilities, hardware, services, and vendors. Must be familiar with creating a detailed design of new structured cabling systems or the integration and modification of a design into an existing environment. Must be able to develop and manage drawing changes and coordinate the structured cabling design with other design disciplines. Familiar with producing engineering estimates and bid specifications. Develop plans for the installation of telecommunications cabling distribution systems in buildings. Responsible for the preparation of project specific construction specifications and construction administration. Determine the telecommunications needs of the installation, examine the structure, design the plans to outline where the cables should be installed, and oversee the installation of the system. Responsible for ensuring the project complies with industry standards. Plan and coordinate activities of sub-contractors to ensure effective and efficient installation and maintenance of network-wide data cabling.
Supports the delivery of construction services as well as outside contracted work in compliance with safety and industry standards, government regulations, and established procedure.
Evaluates and coordinates facilities support for all networks.
In depth knowledge of structured copper and fiber optic cabling (voice & data). Familiarity with network topologies, and IP network protocols preferred.
Experience with COMM requirements
