Nesco Resource is working with a premier manufacturing employer in the Wallingford area to find a Strategic Project Buyer to join their team
If you experience have sourcing and qualifying vendors for electronic components and you want to join a growing international team, this may be the opportunity for you.
Here's what a typical day looks like: - Strategic sourcing of new vendors for electronic components; responsible for early stages of supplier relationship.
- Thoroughly evaluating new and existing vendors for capability, quality and other standards.
- Determining if parts should be purchased or made.
- Working with a cross-functional international team on complex projects.
- Assisting with contractual and purchase agreements with suppliers.
A successful candidate will have: - Knowledge of sourcing, pricing and risk analysis as it relates to the procurement of electronic components.
- Project management and collaboration skills with teams in different locations.
- Knowledge and understanding of the manufacturing process.
- Ability to travel to supplier sites as necessary; 20-25% with international travel 1 - 2 times/year.
- Possess a self-driven personality with the initiative to get things done with minimal supervision.
- Experience with ERP systems & MS Office.
Additional Information: - Direct hire with benefits
- Salary range $85 - 100K depending on education/experience
