What you will do

In this vital role you will partner with other GRAAS SPOs to provide flexible support across the GRAAS organization, driving and implementing department goals and initiatives, supporting GRAAS leaders in strategic planning and execution of department needs, and collaborating cross-functionally at key R&D interfaces. Primary and near term focus of the role will be to support the General Medicine and Obesity therapeutic areas.

  • Identifying operational objectives for multiple teams
  • Identifying department issues and driving resolution
  • Developing and maintaining business relationships across departments
  • Representing the Department on process improvement initiatives
  • Facilitate goal setting and initiatives and track results
  • Act as a sounding board/advisor to the GRAAS leaders on key activities and issues
  • Identify and resolve upcoming issues within the Department, and at collaborate with other departments
  • Develop and/or drive execution of leadership communication plan
  • Facilitate preparation of internal presentations including All-Staff presentations, reports on business performance
  • Represent the goals for the Department and partner with other areas such as Human Resources and Finance in support of Departmental objectives
  • Work with GRAAS leaders to coordinate staff meetings to achieve objectives of the organization
  • Identify lead or contribute to initiatives/process improvement opportunities as designated by Director
  • Assist in interactions at senior level forums as needed
  • As Decision Making Superuser, drive effective decision making in the Department

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree and 2 years of Strategic Planning & Operations experience

Or

Masters degree and 4 years of Strategic Planning & Operations experience

Or

Bachelors degree and 6 years of Strategic Planning & Operations experience

Or

Associates degree and 10 years of Strategic Planning & Operations experience

Or

High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Strategic Planning & Operations experience

  • Pharma/Biotech industry knowledge with focus on Research and Development
  • Knowledge to represent and evaluate strategies for Function and to critically evaluate advice
  • Knowledge of Good X Practices , FDA and international regulations and guidelines, as applicable
  • Knowledge of biopharmaceutical compliance
  • Extensive project management/project planning experience coordinating program results, budgets, and timelines
  • Experience writing and communicating clearly to Senior Management audience
  • Experience leading teams in a matrix environment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong verbal / written communication skills, including listening & presentation skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, ability to optimally work the matrix
  • Ability to establish positive relationships with colleagues at all levels

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
