Job Description: Strategic Operations Project Manager

Full Time

Pay rate $55/hr on W2 + benefits

Job Location: Brooklyn, NY (onsite)
Overview: The Strategic Operations Project Manager (SOPM) is responsible for managing and supporting the planning, development, and implementation of strategic initiatives affecting the operations. Working directly with the Executive Director, the SOPM will plan and coordinate activities with staff and contractors, IT, and stakeholders from other departments, to analyze and streamline operations. This position requires a dynamic individual with strong communication, project management and business analysis skills, a strategic mindset, and understanding of organizational change management.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead planning and/or implementation of strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing the operations within the Transit Adjudication Bureau.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify requirements, develop project plans, and establish KPIs to measure project success.
  3. Conduct analysis of existing operational processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
  4. Develop and implement change management strategies to ensure successful adoption of new processes and technologies.
  5. Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and proactively implement mitigation strategies to keep initiatives on track.
  6. Communicate project updates, milestones, and achievements to key stakeholders, including senior leadership and project sponsors.
  7. Provide direction, guidance, and support to project team members to ensure alignment with project goals and objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field required;
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, strategic planning, or business process improvement.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and implementing complex projects from initiation to closure.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in project management and business analysis tools and methodologies
  • Experience working in the public sector industry is a plus.
