Currently, M a nTech is seeking a motivated, mission and customer-oriented S torage Engineer to join our team in the Dayton, OH area. Responsibilities include but are not limited to : Manage raw storage, LUNs , and Virtual Data stores Ensure compliance with all regulations and command policies regarding storage services Optimization and reporting system performance, planning , and project advisory support as it relates to storage Work with the design team director to complete design/engineering tasks for new SAN deployments Responsible for designing/maintaining fiber channels and network attached SANs Performs fiber storage switch administration Performs replication strategies (On-Site, Cloud) Plan/design SAN capabilities based on storage requirements Installation of SAN equipment in datacenter racks Troubleshoot and replace SAN device/equipment/drives as necessary Execute a full inventory of all the media installed in the SAN and server storage Install, configure, and maintain the critical backup infrastructure and processes, including managing server and database restorations Create SAN storage usage and capacity reports Perform all maintenance, configuration, and deployments to the SAN system Provide virtualization, enterprise storage, and enterprise disaster recovery engineering, support with minimal supervision Conduct operations and maintenance of hypervisors, virtual machines, centralized management appliances, SAN/NAS storage devices and client/server disaster recovery servers Perform hardening and security engineering support when assigned. Be responsible for defining and analyzing system requirements and developing specifications Requirements Include: 3+ years of experience with provisioning backup infrastructure and operations, including hotfixes, code upgrades, performance optimizations, and alert monitoring
3+ years of experience with providing support, monitoring, and taking correction action with Network Attached Storage, and performing defined backup and recovery baseline testing
Experience with capacity reporting and governance
Experience with reporting to management and clients to assist in cost recovery, capacity planning, analysis, and consolidation Preferred Qualifications: Experience with VMware and virtualization
Experience with administering NetApp
Experience with configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting database backups with Oracle, SQL, or VMware
Ability to administer Windows servers or network appliances
Ability to conduct Vendor coordination for technical challenges and solution review Security Clearance/Certification Requirements: TS/SCI clearance DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification Physical Requirements: Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
