Sterilization Technician

Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Sterilization Technician to join our team. As a Sterilization Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and safety of our dental practice. Your primary responsibility will be to sterilize dental instruments and equipment to maintain a sterile environment.

Responsibilities:
- Clean, disinfect, and sterilize dental instruments and equipment using appropriate techniques and solutions
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient procedures by setting up instruments, materials, and equipment
- Maintain inventory of sterilized instruments and supplies
- Follow proper infection control protocols and adhere to HIPAA guidelines
- Assist in maintaining accurate patient records, including medical coding and documentation
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow and patient care
- Perform routine maintenance on sterilization equipment

Experience:
- Previous experience as a Sterilization Technician or in a similar role preferred
- Familiarity with dental office procedures and terminology
- Proficiency in using dental software systems such as Dentrix
- Knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control protocols
- Understanding of medical coding and documentation practices
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
