Sterile Processing Technician III

Job Description Position Summary The Sterile Processing Technician participates in collection, decontamination, cleaning, assembling, packaging, wrapping, scanning, sterilizing, storage and distribution of reusable surgical instruments within the guidelines of the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation. Works collaboratively with all departments to ensure efficient, safe and effective instrument reprocessing. Models excellence in customer service, ensuring the highest standards for both internal and external customers. The Sterile Processing tech is responsible for the cleaning and disinfection of all identified equipment, including the reprocessing of all endoscopes, cystoscopes, ureterscopes, which may be flexible or rigid. They will assist with monitoring quality related to scope processing/instrument processing and maintain high level disinfection equipment and storage of sterile supplies and scopes. Minimum Requirements High school diploma or equivalent or higher. 2 years experience and certification OR 4 years of experience is required Accepted Certifications: Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) certification as Technician, Surgical Instrument Specialist, Ambulatory Service Technician or Management. Other Information This is a full-time position with benefits. Shift: Days, 40 hours per week.
