Description:

The Sterile Processing Tech II will be responsible for maintaining standards as related to the decontamination and reprocessing of equipment and instrumentation used in patient care throughout the organization. Ensures that all surgical instruments and hospital equipment are properly inventoried, decontaminated, assembled, inspected, packaged, sterilized, stored, and distributed in a timely manner throughout the hospital. May have access to areas where medications are stored and/or prepared for purposes of fulfilling job duties. Serves as a resource for staff and assists in education of the department. Works independently with no supervision and can stand in as a Team Lead when needed.


Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 6 months to 1 year of Central Sterilization experience required
  • Certification: HSPA or CBSPD required
  • Computer Proficiency
