Job Summary
Maintains 24 hour / 7 days per week accountability through the supervision of workflow for the Sterile Processing Department. Responsible for maintaining adequate staff levels to ensure quality services in a cost effective and efficient manner. Mentors and guides employees and provides input regarding employee performances. Oversees employee development, education and disciplinary actions for all staff in department. Collects, monitors, analyzes and summarizes data to identify process inefficiencies and/or quality assurance issues. Troubleshoots and interacts with other hospital departments to ensure all reprocessing needs are the highest quality and completed in a timely manner.
Job Requirements
Education
Required: Associate's Degree
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree
Experience
Required: 2 years of experience in Surgical Services, 2 years of supervisory / manager

The ability to lead employees to accomplish all job objectives; inspires confidence and motivation; clearly defines expectations and maintains, and maintain effectiveness under pressure.
The ability to develop, monitor and analyze budget and financial information and uses all resources in an effective economical manner.
Demonstration skills which are pertinent to areas of responsibility.
Knowledge of legal issues in all aspects of operations to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and rights of all customers.
Can define and implement departmental / program goals in keeping with the hospital's mission, vision and strategic plan.
Can understand and participate in the hospital quality process and develop a departmental monitoring system to assure quality.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
Required: CRCST or CBSPD and CHL must be obtained within 1 year of hire
