Position Summary

State Test Nurse Aides provide care for the residents in the Health Center and take directives from the Charge Nurse. State Test Nurse Aides provide care within their scope per their STNA certification. At the Napoleon Campus, we offer full-time and part-time day shift and night shift positions. These positions are 12-hours shift from6:30am-6:30pm and 6:30pm-6:30am. Employees only need to work 3 days a week to achieve full-time status and receive benefits.

Benefits

Night shift premium of $1.50/hour. Sign-on Bonus of $6,000 for full-time and $3,000 for part-time. Accountability incentive of $3/hour for full-time and $1.50/hour for part-time. Pick-up pay of $6/hour for day shift and $10/hour for night shift. Benefits for full-time employees include health insurance, vision + dental insurance, life insurance, 401K plan with 4% employer contribution, short term disability, paid time off (PTO), health savings account, employee assistance program, tuition reimbursement, and employee discounts.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide quality personal care to ensure that residents are comfortable and are provided with the highest quality of care. Adheres to all guidelines learned through the STNA training program and state guidelines as well as complies with the Home's policies and procedures.

Complete administrative requirements to ensure that proper documentation is maintained. Completes paperwork, medical forms, charting and all required documentation as a part of the resident care process and the transition of care process.

Assists the residents during the admissions, transfer and discharge process to provide ongoing quality care and assurance during transition periods.

Follow care plan functions to meet the specific needs of each resident. Focus on resident's individualized needs and encourage resident's ability to make personal choices.

Reports allegations of abuse/neglect and reports, as appropriate, to proper organization leadership.

Reports hazardous incidents, including but not limited to, injuries, equipment, etc. to the appropriate Manager/Supervisor.

Accepts direction of charge nurse in relation to direct resident care.

Performs other job duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

Current State of Ohio STNA certification.

One to two years of experience in long-term care setting preferred.

Familiarity with basic computer skills. Ability to learn new software applications as required by the position.

Requires excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to interact with senior executives, managers, supervisors and direct care staff, as well as residents, families and physicians.

Understands directions; communicates and responds to inquiries promptly.
