Job Details

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough tax research and analysis to ensure accurate tax return preparation for individuals, businesses, and nonprofit organizations.
  • Prepare federal, state, and local income tax returns for clients, including individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts.
  • Assist clients in identifying potential tax deductions, credits, and strategies to minimize their tax liabilities.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and changes, and apply this knowledge to client situations.
  • Review financial documents, records, and accounting information to gather necessary data for tax return preparation.
  • Collaborate with clients to gather required documentation and ensure the timely filing of tax returns.
  • Prepare tax projections and estimates for clients to assist with financial planning and tax compliance.
  • Assist in resolving tax-related issues, inquiries, and audits on behalf of clients.
  • Maintain client relationships by providing excellent customer service and addressing client inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay current with industry trends and best practices.

Qualifications:
  • BS in Accounting or Finance, MBA and/or CPA highly desirable
  • Experience with a public accounting firm a plus
  • 1-5 years of experience in a similar role preferred
  • Knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in tax software (e.g., Quickbooks, ProSystem FX, TurboTax, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism.
