This 17 bed General Surgery Department is a Center for Orthopedic/Neuroscience Excellence. Typical patient population also includes: Joint replacement (Hip/Knee/Shoulder), Neurosurgery & Acute stroke downgrade patients. The Nurse to Patient Ratio is between 1:4 or 1:6 depending on the census and medical acuity of the stroke patients. We have dedicated unit based educator and safety coaches who prioritize safe patient practice. Our Nurses work closely with our interdisciplinary team to provide patient centered care. Our unit is comprised of multiple skill levels with the support of experienced charge nurses, and an energetic clinical manager. Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Graduate of a nursing program

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
New Graduates of a nursing program eligible

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License. BLS certification required.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable. Bachelor's degree preferred. Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting Preferred.
