Staff Research Associate II

Position Definition: The incumbent will work on several research studies conducting clinical interviews. Essential Functions: Conduct structured psychiatric diagnostic evaluation interviews (SCID) to determine presence/absence of DSM 5 Axis I disorders Conduct Clinician Administered Posttraumatic Stress Disorder Scale (CAPS) to determine presence/absence of Current or Lifetime diagnosis of PTSD Conduct other clinical psychological and neuropsychological assessments Score and code test results Knowledgeable of study eligibility criteria Formulate Diagnostic profile, present case in team meeting or diagnostic calibration case conference to determine study eligibility Perform other duties as assigned Job Requirements: M.A./M.S. degree in clinical or counseling psychology, social work or related field required; At least 8 months of experience in conducting PTSD assessments for research projects at the San Francisco VA Medical Center Experience with suicide risk assessment with veterans and civilian populations Knowledge in DSM-5 diagnoses is required Knowledge and previous experience in the assessment of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder preferred Excellent written and oral communication skills The base salary range for this position is $25.24 - $40.60 per hour. The base salary actually offered to a successful candidate will take into account various relevant and non-discriminatory business factors including, without limitation, the candidate's geographic location, job-related experience, knowledge, and skills, and education, as well as internal equity considerations. A successful candidate may also be eligible to earn additional compensation including bonuses.
