Minimum Qualifications Candidates are required to be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Adult Psychiatry, licensed to practice in the State of Virginia and possess a DEA number. Our Staff Psychiatrist will serve a case load of adults with multiple/complex co-occurring Mental Health, Intellectual Disability and Substance Use Disorder diagnoses. Proficiency with Electronic Health Record is required. Ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams is needed. Prior Community Services Board (CSB) experience preferred. Pre-employment drug testing, FBI criminal background check and education/degree verification required. This position is considered Safety Sensitive and is subject to random drug and alcohol testing. Duties The Chesterfield County Department of Mental Health Support Services is the single point of entry for public mental health, intellectual disabilities, and substance use disorder services in Chesterfield County. The Medical Services Team at Chesterfield County Mental Health is seeking two full-time Staff Psychiatrists for medical and behavioral health to join our team of diverse professionals. Staff Psychiatrist works as part of a team to provide Diagnostic assessment and treatment and medication follow ups of assigned cases. Psychiatrist should have the ability to serve as a consultant to the multi- disciplinary team and educate the person served on the treatments offered. Psychiatrist is expected to join in the departmental mission of excellence in care, and training of multi-disciplinary teammates.
