Job Summary Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates patient needs utilizing the nursing process. Actively participates in providing patient care as defined by multidisciplinary plan of care. Provides direct and indirect nursing care to patients with diverse cultural backgrounds as well as varying ages pertinent to their assigned areas. The Staff Nurse manages and provides patient care activities for a group pf patients and their families through the application of independent judgment, communication and collaboration with team members. The Staff Nurse establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with physicians, other healthcare providers, patients and their families, to achieve desired patient outcomes throughout the continuum of care. Qualifications: Licensed as Registered Nurse in South Carolina required. BSN preferred but not required. BLS, ACLS, PALS. Additional and/or certification may be required to meet standards of care within specific departments. Critical thinking skills and the ability to prioritize care delivery based on individual patient need and complexity of patient workload and assessment findings. Continues to learn and grow professionally through accepting assignments with differing patient load and complexity clinical development programs and involvement in professional organizations.
