Fisher-Titus Nurse Residency Program The Nurse Residency Program is designed for new nurse graduates with less than one year experience. The purpose of this program is to assist with the transition into clinical practice. The nurse residency program will focus on the development of critical thinking skills, clinical leadership, and decision-making skills. Fisher-Titus is seeking recent graduates from an accredited nursing program to join our team. A program designed for the new registered nurse Throughout the 12-month residency program, the new Staff Nurse will experience: Trained and supportive preceptors to help the individual develop their clinical skills, delegation, time management and professional practice. Educators and Leaders who are invested in the Staff Nurses individualized learning plan. Increasing decision-making competence and confidence Improving professional commitment and satisfactions Emphasis on consistently utilizing evidence-based practices Building stronger clinical nursing leadership and critical thinking skills Courses and simulation experiences to deepen the Nurse's knowledge of evidence-based nursing practice. Nurse Residency Program Overview Complete General Orientation Complete Clinical Nursing Orientation Enter the Nurse Residency Program Required to attend a monthly 3-hour educational nurse residency program that includes didactic, hands-on, and mock scenario education Nurse Educators will assign pre-work that the Nurse Resident must complete prior to coming to the educational event to enhance critical thinking Rotate between interested units for up to a total of 12 weeks, when applicable to determine best fit within organization 12 Month investment into continuing education provided by Provider Unit , by the Ohio Nurses Association, an Ohio Board of Nursing Approver. (OBN-001-91) for new nurses to earn Continuing Education Complete courses, such as ECG & Pharmacology course, Crucial Conversations, Foundations for Success, Outward Mindset Participation in the Clinical Ladder Program Become ACLS and PALS certified, if appropriate for position Requirements: Graduate of an accredited nursing program before start of classes in (August 2024) Ohio Board of Nursing RN license by start of residency program (August 2024) Less than one year of experience as a registered nurse Basic Life Support certification Submit an application online at Fishertitus.org/careers/nurse-residency-program/ by March 29, 2024. Submit a one-page document on how you align with the Fisher-Titus mission statement, vision, and values to by March 29, 2024. Classes for the 12-month residency program begin in August 2024. Nursing orientation and rotation may be initiated prior to August.
