Job Summary:

As a Staff EAP Counselor, you will be responsible for providing Full time direct clinical counseling services at a ComPsych office location. Service delivery is focused on offering in person counseling but will also include telehealth counseling and additional clinical and counseling related services as needed.

You will have the opportunity to work with diverse clients as well as diverse presenting problems, including depression, anxiety, stress/burnout, grief/loss, relationship concerns, managing life stressors/transitions, and more.

Primary Responsibilities:
Provide goal oriented in-person and telehealth EAP counseling utilizing brief, solution-focused interventions to clients presenting with diverse concerns and symptoms
Provide culturally competent care to diverse clients (age, gender identity, sexual orientation, race/ethnicity, disability status, etc.)
When appropriate, conduct risk assessment, safety planning, and crisis stabilization
Deliver quality and effective counseling services in a manner that promotes positive outcomes and client satisfaction
Maintain a full caseload of adult clients primarily participating in individual therapy, with occasional requests for couples therapy
Manage client caseload independently in terms of scheduling follow-up appointments and communicating with clients in-between sessions as appropriate
Actively strengthens professional knowledge base through review of trends related to effective treatment modalities, evidence-based interventions, and other areas of clinical expertise development
Other clinical duties as assigned
Job Qualifications:
Master level licensed clinician; independent license required
5+ years of providing clinical services
Clinical assessment experience in mental health required
Clinical assessment experience in substance use preferred
Experience in risk assessment, safety planning, and crisis stabilization
Proficiency in treatment of adult clients with various mental health conditions and life stressors
Experience providing short-term, solution-focused therapy preferred
Experience working with diverse client populations and providing culturally competent and relevant care
Telehealth service delivery experience preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Sound clinical judgment, analytical, and critical thinking skills
Strong time management and organization skills
Ability to manage own schedule and client caseload
Flexible work hours (eg some evening hours) desired although not required
