Staff Clinician (Marietta location) Description The Staff Clinician is assigned to a Life University Clinic and supports the mission and vision of the University and the College of Chiropractic. The Staff Clinician provides the highest level of chiropractic patient care, services, and student education and provides operational support and other required duties as needed and directed. Responsibilities 1. Responsible for the implementation, promotion, and practice of a vitalistic approach to patient care centered on the vertebral subluxation complex in the clinical application of chiropractic. 2. Develops, manages, and operates a full-time chiropractic practice within the accepted model of care seeing a broad range of patient types in a teaching clinic environment. 3. Responsible for meeting all assigned Key Performance Objectives (KPO) 4. Displays behaviors congruent in a developing, nurturing, and innovative health care environment. 5. Effectively utilizes the LIFE student mentorship model sustained by a business and practice management model emulating contemporary chiropractic practice success. 6. Adheres to clinical, operational, and business practices and decisions consistent with the LIFE model of care while focusing on providing safe and quality patient care and education. 7. Ensures that all aspects of patient care, patient management, and education, including but not limited to, history, examinations, x-rays and other diagnostic studies, and adjustments are congruent with accepted LIFE chiropractic standards of care. 8. Practice discipline(s) within and congruent with the LIFE model of care; e.g. Radiology, Functional Kinesiology, Functional Neurology, etc. 9. Fosters meaningful, life-long, health enhancement based professional relationships with the public and patients. 10. Complies with all Federal, State and local laws applicable to the practice of chiropractic. 11. Complies with federal and state entitlement programs as well as third party payer contracts. 12. Complies with clinic Quality Assurance and Improvement (QA & I) policies and procedures. 13. Ensures compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality standards. 14. Participates in clinician and clinical development activities. Requirements 1. A Doctor of Chiropractic degree from an accredited program, with current license in good standing in the State of Georgia (or eligible for licensure in the state of Georgia). 2. Excellent skills related to chiropractic assessment, diagnosis, care, and adjustive technique. 3. Excellent skills related to communication, education, organizational operations, documentation, computer operation and associated applications.
