We are seeking to hire a talented Staff Accountant to join our team. The Staff Accountant will perform a variety of tasks including reconciliations (particularly for large bank accounts and credit cards), journal entries, researching variances, running reports and a variety of ad hoc projects. This person will work in conjunction with a variety of individuals across the Accounting and Finance Teams. This individual will also be expected to maintain a high degree of attention to detail.


Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:

  • The Senior Accountant will reconcile multiple large bank and credit card accounts.
  • Research, resolve and communicate any discrepancies or outstanding balances on the reconciliations.
  • Prepare and enter journal entries.
  • Post payments in ERP - MAS Sage 100
  • Prepare daily bank reports to send to Senior Management
  • Review bank postings for AR and AP
  • Establish and maintain confidential company files and records.
  • Perform other duties as assigned as an accounting professional.


Qualifications for the Senior Accountant:

  • Accounting or Finance Degree Required
  • 2-3 years Accounting or similar Finance experience preferred.
  • An equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered.
  • Proficiency in the use of Excel and other Microsoft Office applications required.
  • Ability to apply discretion and trust with confidential material in this accounting position.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
  • Must have strong analytic abilities.
  • Sage experience preferred.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment; makes decisions in logical and rational manner; demonstrates "common sense", practical and stays cool under pressure.
  • Ability to gather facts, analyze problems in depth and break down into components.
  • Ability to multitask, adapt to and operate in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Creative; generates new approaches to problems, demonstrates imagination.
  • This accountant must have high integrity and work ethic.
