Staff Accountant

While collaborating with other members of the finance & 14 plant teams, you will assists with P&L and balance sheet ownership responsibilities. You will perform all month end close duties in accordance with GAAP, contribute to the forecasting and budgeting process, help administer all business compliance and proactively drive process improvement. Responsibilities will include:

• Prepare month end close journal entries in accordance with GAAP, including financial statement preparation, regulatory and general ledger compliance and balance sheet reconciliations

• Facilitate and assist Finance with monthly forecasting and annual and long term planning and budgeting

• Prepare scrap reconciliations & facilitate corresponding customer service

• Assist with management of fixed asset & capital expenditure administration and reporting

• Facilitate & assist Finance with standardization/best practice efforts and continuous improvement initiatives

• Assist with the management of accounting & data integrity process improvement initiatives

• Conduct physical inventories &help facilitate year end audit with external auditors

• Prepare sales & use, personal property and real estate tax filings in addition to assisting with corresponding regulatory audits

• Track and research unauthorized deductions and partner with Accounts Receivable on credit compliance
