Salary Range: $90,000 - $104,000

Role and Responsibilities

  • Records accounts payable, payments, credit memos, debit memos, etc.
  • Processes expense reports in Concur and records expenses in general ledger.
  • Processes vendor and customer invoices, verifies proper GL coding and obtains approvals.
  • Processes purchase orders process to ensure certain spending is properly approved before receiving goods and services and incurring expenses.
  • Ensures that credits are properly and timely applied to vendor payments.
  • Analyzes, researches, and reconciles past payments.
  • Maintains and reconciles A/P A/R aging reports, check registers, and A/P A/R journals.
  • Prepare AR payment deduction journal entries and perform cash collection.
  • Onboards new vendors by verifying W-9/W-8, reviewing new vendor setup approval form, and entering correct data into the ERP system.
  • Responsible for W-9s, 1099s, including researching discrepancies.
  • Responsible for Accounts Payable month-end close procedures, including journal entries as needed.
  • Period-end close for preparation of accounts payable and expense accruals.
  • Month-end journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Assist Management with various special projects and ad hoc reporting.
  • Assists with preparation of documentation for the annual audit.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

    • Bachelor s degree in accounting.
    • 5+ years experience in accounting.
    • Knowledge of General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
    • Strong analytical and accounting skills and good understanding of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX)
    • Experience with 3-way matching is a must.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel, Concur, preferred NetSuite or other ERP.
