Job Description for Staff Accountant:

They are seeking a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and maintaining relationships with banks for audits.

Key Responsibilities for Staff Accountant:

General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Prepare journal entries and adjustments as necessary.

Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Analyze financial data to identify trends and variances.

Bank Reconciliations: Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure that all transactions are properly accounted for and discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner.

Audit Support: Collaborate with internal and external auditors during the audit process. Provide documentation and explanations for account balances and transactions as required.

Relationship Management: Cultivate strong relationships with banks and financial institutions. Coordinate with them for account reconciliations, audits, and other financial matters.

Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency. Implement best practices to enhance the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls. Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations affecting the manufacturing industry.
Qualifications for Staff Accountant:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in general ledger accounting and financial reporting, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel, experience with Sage is a huge plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
