Are you a seasoned accounting professional with a keen eye for detail and a passion for the legal industry? We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Staff Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing and overseeing the company's financial operations, ensuring compliance with legal regulations, and driving financial success. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and a knack for numbers.

Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Staff Accountant, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

1. Managing accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions.
2. Maintaining the general ledger, preparing journal entries, and performing monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.
3. Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP.
4. Performing bank account reconciliations, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
5. Assisting with the preparation and coordination of the audit process.
6. Implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures.
7. Assisting with billing activities, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing.
8. Utilizing Elite 3E software to streamline financial operations and improve efficiency.
9. Providing support to the finance team as needed, including in areas such as budgeting and forecasting.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must possess the following:

1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field. A CPA certification is highly desirable.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably within the legal industry.
3. Proficiency in AP, AR, and general ledger management.
4. Strong knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles.
5. Experience with Elite 3E or similar accounting software.
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.
7. Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
8. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
9. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
