Staff Accountant

Our client, a well-established and growing CPA firm, is currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join their team as a Staff Accountant. As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for managing various accounting tasks and ensuring accurate financial reporting.

Responsibilities

Perform detailed assurance work

Prepare Tax returns

Gain Proficiency with firm software and research tools

Develop workpaper documentation skills

Frequent interaction with clients

Mentor new staff and interns

Increase knowledge of client industries and practice service areas

Budget awareness and realization

Community involvement and volunteering

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, Masters - PLUS

2+ years of experience as a Staff Accountant in a CPA firm

Good knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

Teamplayer

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

CPA certification or 150 credits

Benefits

Salary: $55K/yr - $67K/yr, negotiable. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the market demand, education, experience, and skill set of the individual selected for this position.
