Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant include but are not limited to: - Prepare monthly bank reconciliations, journal entries and financial reports.
- Prepare monthly financial statements, reporting and flux analysis.
- Fixed asset processing, reconciling, and reporting tax related depreciation forecasts.
- Month end accounting system close (Elite 3E), balancing and resolution of any issues.
- Research company credit card transactions and process the bill monthly.
- Assist with preparing year-end review schedules and reports.
- Provide back-up to Accounts Payable and prepare 1099 Forms.
Background Expected of the Staff Accountant: - Ability to handle a high volume of tasks while maintaining attention to detail and the capability to prioritize.
- Ability to learn and work with accounting software (Elite 3E).
- Strong knowledge of MS Office; particularly Excel
- Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and equivalent work experience (2 to 4 years).
