Job Details

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting - CPA a plus

4-7 years' experience in accounting or finance related positions

Strong customer service skills and effective written and oral communication skills

Strong skill set in Microsoft Office products

Detailed oriented/high level of accuracy

Knowledge of general accounting principles, specifically US GAAP and related accounting standards, including ASC 842

Must be able to multi-task, prioritize and respond to time sensitive deadlines

Flexible, strategic team player with high integrity and ethical standards

System implementation experience a plus but not required

RESULTS STATEMENT:

To assist in achieving the company's Vision and financial objectives by supporting the organization through research and documentation of technical accounting issues and through the reporting of accurate and timely financial information. Guide, develop and support the accounting team to be goal-oriented individual contributors on a team committed to providing exceptional customer service.

WORK LISTING:

1. Provide technical accounting and implementation support to members of finance and accounting teams on treatment of accounting issues within compliance of U.S. GAAP

2. Research, evaluate and document technical accounting implications for any new accounting standards and impact on current accounting policies

3. Prepare and record monthly and quarterly journal entries related to significant and non-routine transactions, including but not limited to investments, acquisitions, and dispositions

4. Review accounting procedures and policies for accuracy and correctness

5. Assist in account reconciliations and review of general ledger entries

6. Facilitate external reviews and audits to meet various regulatory requirements

7. Establish and maintain a library of key accounting policies and processes consistent with industry practices and US GAAP standards

8. Support the maintenance of the chart of accounts for all companies

9. Actively improve and maintain technical education and skills with emphasis in skilled nursing industry (healthcare)

10. Assist co-workers as necessary on projects and related duties as assigned

11. Collaborate with other departments and resources, as needed
