$3000 Sign On Bonus Eliot's Community Treatment Residence in Brockton, supporting latency age children referred by the Department of Children and Families, is seeking a Milieu Specialist I with one year of experience working with the population. Our ideal candidate will have the ability to establish a positive rapport with a culturally and economically diverse group of children and families. Eliot's Social Services Division includes short-term community-based assessment, stabilization and support programs and longer term assessment and treatment programs for latency age children and adolescents . The programs provide a safe, structured, and respectful environment for children and youth to thrive, change and grow by focusing on skill-building, and permanency. Responsibilities: Daily coordination of youth in executing the plan of the day in accordance with program, DCF, DYS, DMH, DEEC and ECHS policies and procedures. Serve as the lead staff for all assigned shifts. Participate in the development and implementation of Individual Action and Crisis Prevention Plans. Attend supervision, staff and shift change meetings and training as required. Lead daily groups as assigned. Manage the program security equipment including radios, keys, and all other assigned equipment according to policy. Actively monitor and participate in community service, recreation, visits, family time and other off ground activities. Safely transport youth to activities, appointments, school, work, and visits. Participate in intakes as needed. Serve as an Advocate for assigned youth and complete Advocate Reports on a weekly basis. Qualifications: High School diploma and at least one year of related experience with the population. Must be able to adhere to a model of care that focuses on Trauma Informed Care and Interventions. Computer literacy and skill in the use of computers and related software applications. A Demonstrates sound judgment and effective, solution focused, problem solving skills. Ability to develop and maintain professional working relationships with residents, staff, co-workers and supervisor. SCHEDULE: Friday to Tuesday 2pm-10pm with Wednesday and Thursday off; Friday-Monday 6am-2pm and Thursday 2pm-10pm with Tuesday and Wednesday off
