Assign and supervise vendor resources such as independent adjusters, engineers and other experts as needed. Recognize and pursue recovery opportunities and prepare submissions to Special Investigation Unit. Determine accurate and adequate reserves on assigned claims. Provide accurate assessments and negotiate fair and efficient claims resolutions while managing costs. Settle losses within granted authority according to documented damage, language of policy of insurance, and pertinent regulatory and statutory considerations. Monitor medical management. Initiate and control delivery of accurate and timely workers compensation benefits. Prepare written communication including settlement letters, disclaimers of coverage, and reservation of rights letters.
