CPA or working on CPA credentials a must. Candidate must be well versed in QuickBooks and other accounting software. Some audit work will be required. Job Details

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Preparing and reviewing tax returns for individuals, S & C-corporations, partnerships, trusts, and not for profit organizations.

• Advising clients with routine accounting functions throughout the year including planning analysis, projections, research, journal entries, fixed asset maintenance, income statements, balance sheets, etc.

• Maintaining relationships with clients and identifying business growth opportunities.

• Proactive tax research, including examining IRS and various state notices.

• Possible opportunities to represent before the IRS and CT Department of Revenue.

• Client Write up and general ledger maintenance using QuickBooks and other software.

• Participate and eventually run audit jobs of large client.

• Participate in marketing and Business Development of the firm

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, MBA preferred.

• Minimum 3 years of previous work-related experience in tax and accounting.

• Must be a CPA or in progress

• Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.

• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Products and QuickBooks

• Passion and curiosity to look through the financial information of a business to identify potential opportunities for client gain.
