Job Title: Sr. Specialist - Systems Engineering Job Code: 9543 Job Location: Anaheim, CA Schedule: 4/10 or 9/80 with every other Friday off Job Description: Perform Sr. Specialist Systems Engineering, Integration & Test (SEIT) Engineering roles with limited supervision, lead complex projects, perform system integration and testing, data analysis, and document test results under the larger Systems Engineering Organization in Navigation Solutions (NS) at L3Harris in Anaheim, CA. The role will require candidates to have experience with acceptance testing, embedded system testing, test documentation, EVMS, schematic review/GPS hardware design and test validation techniques. Navigation Solutions products provide advanced military GPS and other Position, Navigation, Timing (PNT) capabilities in military embedded real-time systems and can be used in weapons, ground, airborne, maritime, and space environments. Essential Functions: Execute design, build, integration, and test activities, troubleshooting, and verifying that the deliverable products meet all program and customer requirements. Lead laboratory integration activities focused on design verification, requirements verification, acceptance testing, qualification testing, and troubleshooting.
Baseline plan System/Test activities, perform Control Account Management (CAM) duties, and provide monthly earned value report to leadership/customer.
Support program design review, through qualification testing and transition to production. Development of systematic roadmaps with technical reviews, milestones, concepts, requirements and operational objectives for end-to-end prototyping development.
Collaborate within a multi-discipline environment, engaging with various engineering and program disciplines.
Communicate System/Testing risks as appropriate to key project stakeholders promptly and coordinate mitigation strategies with appropriate teams.
Produce project deliverables (Test Plan, Test Report, and Traceability Matrix). Qualifications: Position requires a bachelor's degree in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or related discipline with minimum 6 years or a Graduate Degree with a minimum of 4 years prior relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
2 years prior experience leading/tracking projects, processes, and employees as well as strong knowledge within the engineering discipline.
3 years experience in GPS/PNT systems.
Experience with GPS M-Code, Earn Value Management Systems (EVMS), circuit design, schematic reviews, and authoring test reports, and python scripting. Preferred Additional Skills: Experience with GPS receiver RF and digital electrical hardware development and integration, or equivalent experience with RF systems.
An Active DoD SECRET or higher security clearance.
Must have excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
Must work effectively in both independent and team environments. In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $102,000 - $190,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
