The Secure Processing Solutions (SPS) department is responsible for the design, test and certification of secure mission computers, cross domain technologies, and cryptographic products which equip our warfighters to thrive in today's multi-domain battlespace. Our department collaborates with portfolio teams across the organization to help capture new business and create security solutions that address our customers' demanding needs. The Software Based Cross-Domain Solution within the SPS department is responsible for the development of an application that enables secure transition of data across security levels. The team is looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to support the expansion of our CDS capabilities. What you will do: YOU will help lead a team in collaboration with stakeholders & team members to ensure products meet requirements. YOU will hold cost account management, planning, and details of execution responsibilities. YOU will collaborate with our Value Stream Leadership counterparts to strive to meet our customers' needs in a way that meets company expectations and goals. YOU will actively participate as a member of an agile development team. YOU will be a servant leader for the team and support Agile processes. YOU will be versatile and capable of thriving in a dynamic environment while managing competing priorities. YOU will influence, lead, and clearly communicate with customers & your fellow engineers at the department level and beyond. Education and experience: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience. Qualifications you must have: The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Application software development experience. Experience with software configuration management (Git, SVN). Experience with Windows and/or Linux Operating Systems. Experience investigating problems to root cause and championing corrective actions. Skills we value: Experience coding in Java and Python. Experience with Object Oriented architectures and design patterns. Experience with Agile development methodology. Experience working in Atlassian tools (JIRA, Bitbucket, Confluence, Bamboo). Experience with CI/CD technologies. Experience with LVC communication standards (DIS, TENA, HLA).
