We are looking to hire an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our Software Development Center in North Dallas/Richardson.

The ideal candidate's duties will include:

  • Working in an agile/scrum team hyper-collaborative team environment using typical agile oriented tool suite implementing continuous integration/continuous delivery processes and the Test Driven-Development approach.
  • Getting involved from requirements development to flow down process across design, code, integration, and test of software into a large software baseline and large systems
  • Coordinating with engineers from other disciplines, such as Systems and Electrical Engineering, to obtain pertinent information required to accomplish tasks.
  • Must be able to obtain Special Access Program (SAP) Clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.
  • Onsite work location: North Dallas, TX relocation eligible


For a Senior Software Integrator, pre-requisite skills include:

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant software development experience including integration.
  • Experience working with real-time, multi-threaded embedded software systems, with experience in Linux and C .
  • Experience working with software, firmware and hardware interfaces (ICDs, IDDs).
  • Experience working in a System Integration Lab (SIL) environment with ability to perform capability or feature integration at Subsystem or System level and perform preliminary investigation of issues encountered.
  • Current U.S. DOD Secret Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.
  • Education: Typically requires Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of relevant software development experience.


Advanced Highly Preferred Skills:

  • Ability to debug and solve complex software integration issues in a SIL environment.
  • Experience developing and integrating software for a large Radar or other sensor system.
  • Experience working with git and Atlassian tools (Confluence, Jira, bitbucket, fe/cru).
  • Top Secret/SCI Clearance

The following position is to join our RTX Corporate, Enterprise Services, Research Center or BBN team:


Requires advanced knowledge of work area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. May have practical knowledge of project management. Practical to substantial knowledge of RTX projects, programs or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work.


Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience


Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.




The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
