Manage a team of facility focused employees and all facility related functions at the Saxonburg site, including facility engineering, construction activities; round-the-clock maintenance of facilities and ancillary equipment; physical plant security; custodial and ground services. Responsible for implementing policies and safety and security procedures, engaging with vendors and contractors, minimizing hazards, preparing facility budgets, and monitoring expenditure, designing, and planning work areas, coordinating remodeling and refurbishment initiatives, testing equipment, forecasting space needs, ensuring regulatory compliance, and negotiating lease agreements. Coordinates, develops material specifications, estimates costs and resources, and schedules projects related to facility expansions, modifications, and installation of production equipment. Responsible for maintaining project schedules and budgets. Responsible for developing and implementing facility and ancillary equipment maintenance procedures and guidelines. Primary Duties & Responsibilities Effectively oversees the management of site-wide physical assets, including buildings, equipment, grounds, housekeeping, and HVAC in a manner that supports business unit production efforts and minimizes business interruption. Provides leadership and guidance to plant facility team including hiring, training, development, and performance management plans. Responsible for ensuring the safety, security, and protection of our premises, assets, employees, and visitors by maintaining a secure and controlled environment, effectively mitigating risks, and responding to security incidents as they arise. Partners with Corporate security as needed. Develops maintenance programs, KPIs, procedures, schedules, audits, and record keeping for maintenance and repair of facility related equipment. Ensures compliance with safety standards, building codes and other compliance regulations; maintain facility records. Plans, budgets, and schedules facility modifications and project specifications, including estimate on equipment, labor, materials, and other related costs; Manage project activity and oversee schedules and budgets. Manages permitting process for construction and renovation projects, interfacing with regulatory agencies as required. Seeks infrastructure and equipment improvements by identifying and evaluating alternatives. Prepares and manages annual departmental expense budget and 5-year planning activity. Partners with EHS to support the development and implementation of safety procedures, controlled waste removal and in the disposal of non-regulated solid wastes. Establishes relationships with other Site Leads across the global portfolio; partners with and shares best practices, offers guidance and expertise as appropriate. Works with site leader and EHS to develop guidelines for the design, installation, and maintenance of the plant wide security plan. Works with local, county, and state government agencies to ensue existing buildings and grounds along with new construction projects have proper permits and meet regulatory compliance. Supports strategic initiatives by driving cost savings initiatives. Assists with leasing negotiations for facilities. Education & Experience BS/BA degree in facility management, business, engineering, property management or equivalent experience required. Minimum of 10 years of experience managing a complex manufacturing environment with emphasis in engineering and construction management required. Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated leadership experience required. Experience managing simultaneous projects with multiple contractors required. Experience working with regulatory and compliance laws related to facilities, buildings, assets, and safety required. Experience planning and maintaining complex facility budgets required. Experience with procurement, negotiations, and vendor contract management required. Experience with clean room design and construction with an emphasis on HVAC preferred. Skills & Other Requirements Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with all levels of the organization, within the business community, and with internal and external business partners required. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate technical information effectively to maintenance, department leaders, other managers, third-party vendors, and contractors. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task to manage multiple projects and priorities at same time. Knowledge of OSHA and other environmental regulations and their impacts to facility equipment and projects. Understanding of computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) and KPI reporting procedures. Ability to build, model, lead, motivate, and influence effectively using I CARE values (Integrity, Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, Enthusiasm). Sound understanding of accounting and finance principles. Must be flexible, willing, and able to respond to emergencies as needed to support a 24/7 manufacturing operation. Ability to analyze situations and provide direction and guidance to functional teams required. Working Conditions General office and industrial manufacturing facility environment. Travel 10%; as needed. Physical Requirements Ability to sit or walk for extended periods. Ability to type and use a computer for extended periods. Must be able to lift 50 pounds occasionally. Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the site including climbing ladders, bending, squatting, and crawling in tight spaces. Use of protective equipment as needed.
