About the Role

The Senior Product Manager of Compliance is responsible for supporting products that exist in an ever-changing legal landscape and fast-paced startup environment. This requires monitoring of regulatory developments and the ability to deliver value through upholding compliance as a priority through our ELD, DVIR, and Safety products. This also includes providing data-driven insights to inform product strategy and vision. The Senior Product Manager of Compliance should obsess over creating easy-to-use workflows for drivers and safety managers through constant customer engagement. This role will work with fleet management solutions while understanding the requirements of SMB to Enterprise fleets, work closely with safety and government regulatory requirements, AI and telematics data, and deliver operational efficiency in driver-facing and back office products.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to identify market requirements, prioritize the backlog, and produce creative solutions in Platform Science's Compliance product areas
  • Work closely with customers' Safety teams to understand their day to day workflows and subsequent pain points
  • Maintain legal compliance while continually focusing on delivering a best-in-class User Experience for both Drivers and Back Office users
  • Distill complex, legal areas into actionable product requirements
  • Balance ability to communicate value and collect insight from Sales and customer facing teams and deliver market needs and dive into technical requirements with Development engineers
  • Develop and implement product solutions consistent with company vision
  • Work with senior management to create product plans and roadmaps
  • Work closely with Product Design to continually deliver a delightful experience for our customers.
  • Spend time with Support and other internal teams to identify customer needs, review field cases, and enhance the product to reduce customer risk and improve support processes
  • Evaluate and deliver solutions based on qualitative and quantitative data
  • Ensure products and releases are launched correctly and on schedule
  • Uphold the success metrics of the projects in your group and own the outcomes
  • Make creative recommendations to expand product base and vision
  • Keep track of industry trends and identify innovation opportunities to create competitive moats

Experience

  • 5+ years of Product Management experience working with on-shore and off-shore development teams
  • A strong team-player with the ability to engage with all levels of the organization
  • Experience working with customers, technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features
  • History of successfully launching and scaling SaaS, web-based, and mobile products
  • Deep customer empathy and curiosity
  • Ability to engage in conversations with customers (both internal and external)
  • Strong ability to lead prioritization efforts in highly dynamic environments
  • Strong analytical skills with a passion for making data based decisions
  • Proven track record of prioritizing and influencing teams and stakeholders
  • Scrum/Agile experience
  • Organizational abilities
  • Excellent communication skills that allow you to bridge the gap of geographically dispersed teams
  • Exhibits a positive, can-do attitude and is willing to work in a hyper-growth environment In other words, roll up your sleeves and thrive in a fast-paced start-up
  • Ability to travel 25%+
  • Preferred Qualifications
    • 3+ years in a Transportation/Telematics environment
    • Background working in ELD or Regulatory background
    • Strong experience with Class 8 fleets

This is an exempt role. Our job titles for each posting may span across more than one job level. The estimated base salary for this role is between $126,721 and $192,000. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target range for new hire base salaries across all US locations. Compensation packages are based on many factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, work experience, relevant trainings and certifications, business needs, market demands and specific geographical location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, and benefits.
