Role: Sr. Product Manager
Description: Product Managers at Blackthorn are responsible for overseeing and managing the production of a product from beginning to end. You'll do impactful work that makes a difference in the education, healthcare, and nonprofit sectors.
Base Salary: $120,000 - $145,000
What you'll do - Master the unique value proposition of Blackthorn Events.
- Initiate virtual and in-person discovery interviews with customers, prospects, and partners in Higher Education, Nonprofits, and Healthcare verticals (5% travel).
- Create and maintain a public roadmap, prioritizing features based on customer feedback, market research, and business objectives
- Develop and articulate a clear product vision and strategy that aligns with the company's goals and customer needs
- Collaborate with the Product Owner to prioritize work and convey customer needs to Engineering.
- Create product requirements documents to guide Engineering efforts.
- Build and communicate an understanding of our main customer segments (from SMB to Enterprise and across industries) and their primary use cases.
- Stay up-to-date on the competitive landscape and emerging technologies
- Perform a business-value analysis to make data-driven decisions on features to develop or sunset.
- Work closely with onboarding, customer success, support, sales, and marketing teams to ensure successful product launches and continuous improvements.
What we look for - 3+ years as a product manager for a software product, with a track record of growth through big bets and experiments.
- Based in the continental US with a preference for remote work.
- Highly self-motivated with a sense of urgency and excellent time management skills.
- Skilled at organizing complexity and communicating effectively.
- Thought leader who is unafraid to respectfully disagree.
- Experienced in cross-functional collaboration with engineering, product, data, marketing, design, and other stakeholders.
- Comfortable speaking to customers, engineers, and executives.
- Capable of ruthless prioritization, supported by evidence.
- Attentive to UI and UX.
- Proficient in exploring data sets for trends and testing hypotheses.
- Exposure to Product Marketing.
- Assumes good intent and treats others with kindness.
