The Corporate Digital Transformation Office is seeking a Senior Principal Project Manager to support our Digital Transformation efforts to lead development across all DT portfolios. Located on-site in Redondo Beach, CA, the incumbent will support an enterprise team of PMs to drive program execution and reporting of the development effort and ensure success for deployment and sustainment. This will entail significant interaction with senior leaders at each Sector to ensure capabilities meet adopting programs business need. This candidate will work closely with the Program Excellence Mgr. and other stakeholders across the enterprise to ensure the DTO's vision and objectives are clearly defined and executed. Characteristics of an Effective Senior Principal Project Manager Highly developed organizational and planning skills to concurrently manage a variety of tasks and shift focus easily from macro-level to micro-level topics. Expertise in prioritizing tasks, making timely decisions, and following through on commitments with excellent attention to detail. Ability to clearly communicate at all levels of the organization with messages appropriately tailored based on the audience. Ability to drive clarity and accountability in team operations while also establishing positive and genuine relationships with the team. Solid understanding of program execution drivers and roles of supporting business functions Skills to support strategic planning and business execution. Willingness to tactfully expose or express opposing points of view, speak honestly, hold confidences, and provide feedback to Program Excellence. Ability to analyze situations from several points of view and be persuasive with data-driven details and facts. Ability to work in a self-directed and independent fashion - a proactive attitude to identify what needs to be done rather than waiting to be told what to do. Support the DTO Program Excellence business cadence and provide operations support to the extended DTO leadership team. Responsibilities Include: Support Program Excellence in providing guidance and leadership to all levels of the organization. Responsible for supporting the portfolio teams and the execution of the monthly program programmatic integrated cost, schedule, risk and opportunity to the baseline plan for the DT and Sector leadership. Responsible for executing and collecting the monthly programmatic data and displaying in an executive level dashboard. Responsible for implementing the baseline and approved CCB updates to the baseline (Process advocate) Responsible support the annual investment process to determine annual prioritization and investments for the portfolios. Maintain methodical record of official correspondence, distributing that correspondence to the right team members in a timely manner. Collaborate with scope owners on the program to track and assess scope closeout, burndown plans, and performance metrics. Work cross-functionally to track and assess solution deliverables, particularly working to communicate clear progress and objective evidence needs with program leadership and the sector teams. Assist program leadership with slide creation covering program metrics for customer and internal statusing. Will need strong organizational and records keeping skills, as well as be able to work with a wide range of team members to collect and understand raw data used for assessing program progress/create metrics. Background in programmatic metrics and reporting, particularly in a heavily engineering based environment a plus. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree and at least 10 years of experience in supply chain management, project management, sustainment, proposals, procurement, resource planning or accounting; OR Master's Degree with 7 years of experience in supply chain management, project management, sustainment, proposals, procurement, resource planning or accounting; OR High School Diploma/Equivalent with at least 13 years of experience in supply chain management, project management, sustainment, proposals, procurement, resource planning, or accounting Experience working on large programs The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance Preferred Requirements: The ability to manage communications with stakeholders through organized processes to ensure that program information is defined, collected, shared, understood, stored, and retrieved in a manner that effectively meets program and stakeholder needs. Change management or program startup experience a plus. Salary Range: $109,900 - $164,900 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
