What You'll Do:

In addition to capital, Sapphire Ventures offers worldwide access to a powerful network of business development opportunities and operational support via our Portfolio Growth Platform.Sapphire's Portfolio Growth (PG) team is composed of over 15 seasoned professionals who provide value to Sapphire portfolio companies across business development, talent, marketing and capital markets. The PG group is a central pillar of how Sapphire Ventures differentiates itself as an investor and adds value to rapidly-scaling VC-backed startups.

Sapphire's Portfolio Growth team has built an exclusive customer and partner network of digital CXO executives (CIOs, CTOs, Chief Digital Officers, etc.) across industries that we extensively leverage to help our portfolio companies in facilitating customer and partner introductions.Together, our executive networks and Communities, form key pillars of how Sapphire adds value to the startups in our portfolio.

To augment Sapphire's extensive offerings, this important role will be responsible for continuing to build the digital network of CXO executives, manage the Sapphire Communities program and offer support to the PG team in operations and reporting.

This will be a critical role in supporting the BD team and overall PG efforts.

Responsibilities:

The Sr. Manager, BD and Programs will be responsible for the following activities:
  • Continue to build the digital executives network by doing outreach, meetings and attending industry events
  • Manage the Community Program's calendar of activities and support the PG team in execution
  • Work closely with Sapphire's portfolio companies to support GTM efforts
  • Manage the systems needed to support our efforts such as Affinity, Monday, Crossbeam and more
  • Provide reporting and executive updates via slides to internal stakeholders
What We're Looking For:
  • 5 years working in tech, a VC firm or consulting in a strategy, operations or BD function
  • Strong data, reporting and operational background with the ability to develop effective slide decks.
  • Familiarity with Affinity, Crossbeam or technically inclined to learn these quickly
  • Strong understanding of trends shaping B2B SaaS and infrastructure
  • Ability to engage C-level executives with confidence and ability to lead a dialogue around industry and tech trends
  • Highly entrepreneurial and independent achiever, who is able to work effectively as part of a small but highly fast-paced and dynamic organization
  • Passion to make an impact in the success of startups, and understanding of how high-growth VC-backed companies operate and succeed

Base Salary Range: $100,000 - $150,000
