Eli Lilly and Company seeks a Sr. Engineer to automate manufacturing processes focusing on the Drug Substance (API) network. Act as a platform steward and perform API network project profiling and conceptual design. Lead solution assessment, reuse, and development. Provide support to manufacturing sites and Global Facilities Delivery during project profiling and design. Increase the benefits of automation and control solutions while driving down lifecycle costs.


Position requires a Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering field and 1 year of experience with control systems and automated manufacturing. Experience must include a minimum of: 1 year of experience working with validated systems, data historians and visualizations tolls, and MES/Automation integration; 1 year of experience with projects and operational support on Delta V platform, including configuration and troubleshooting; 1 year of experience with Drug Substance manufacturing processing including Batch; 1 year of experience developing and administering GMP documentation, technical functional specifications, and qualification of test protocols; and 1 year of experience performing continuous improvement. Part time telecommuting may be permitted. Up to 25% domestic and international travel required.
