We're looking for a full-time, staff Sr. Director of Strategy & Corporate Development to join our Day & Zimmermann team located in Philadelphia, PA. The Sr. Director, Strategy & Corporate Development position is a leadership position focused on driving Day & Zimmermann's strategic growth efforts that support achieving the company's financial performance objectives while also promoting a company culture that is dedicated to growth and financial performance. As the Sr. Director of Strategy & Corporate Development you will advise senior leadership, act as a strategic consultant, and champion growth across the company. In this role, you will be responsible for market research, business case/financial analyses for growth opportunities, managing M&A strategy, and overseeing the Company's strategic planning processes.

As the Sr. Director of Strategy & Corporate Development, here's the work you'll do:

  • Lead the Annual Strategic Planning Process for the enterprise ensuring best practices in strategy development are leveraged.
  • Support leaders in identifying and executing on key growth and margin expansion opportunities, and opportunities for competitive differentiation.
  • Lead cross-functional project teams to identify and develop adjacency growth projects that significantly expand our addressable market.
  • Own the process of socializing and championing growth ideas and opportunities with key stakeholders to secure alignment and facilitate execution.
  • Support business units in evaluating and driving organic growth initiatives, including market intelligence, alignment with strategic business plans, financial/business case analysis, etc.
  • Monitor the financial performance of strategic growth investments across the company.
  • Lead the development of M&A pipeline, interface with investment banking and other industry entities to source and evaluate potential M&A transactions.
  • Advise internal business unit teams as to M&A strategy and deal evaluation.
  • Lead deal execution processes, perform analysis and due diligence as required.
This role is for you if you have these skills:
  • Deep understanding of Strategy development for a variety of industries, including knowledge of best practices and trends in business strategy through leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability in facilitating strategy workshops and strategy development processes.
  • Demonstrated ability in driving performance, consistently producing superior results, cultivating entrepreneurship and ownership.
  • Strong communicator and leader with the ability to artfully influence, persuade and drive action.
  • Proven ability to work effectively cross-functionally with senior levels in the organization.
  • Strong understanding of M&A Strategy development and deal execution


And if you have these qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years experience.
  • Experience with CRM tools preferred.
  • Great attitude and team player.
  • Successful completion of background screening process.

In compliance with this state's pay transparency laws, the wage range for this role is $138,200 - $ 207,360. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).
