Make Your Mark:

The Sr. Director, Cloud Infrastructure is an experience leader who will lead our SaaS Cloud infrastructure transformation. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing our legacy co-location facilities, infrastructure teams (Systems, Networking and Storage), and own our Cloud Center of Excellence for Public Cloud. You will spearhead efforts to modernize our infrastructure for self-service capabilities, DevOps enablement, infrastructure as code and empower existing teams to transition to cloud technologies, and drive expansion of new cloud regions.


You'll Get To:

  • Develop and implement our cloud strategy to support Hybrid & Multi-cloud solutions across various providers
  • Lead the modernization of our infrastructure practices to enable self service capabiliites and streamline operations
  • Oversee the transition of our Systems, Network and Storage team to cloud-enabled teams, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning
  • Manage the shutdown of our co-location centers and final transition of core serices to cloud
  • Champion the growth of our cloud center of excellence, providing expertise and best practices related to cloud computing across the organization
  • Drive the expansion of our global cloud regions, ensuring high availability and performance for our applications. Including our capacity planning programs and resource planning with cloud vendors
  • Lead and development of our FedRamp program, achieving and maintaining authorization
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the. Cloud, engineering and security teams
  • Manage a high-performing team of cloud infrastructure specialists, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment
  • Stay up to date on the latest cloud technologies and trends, identifying and evaluating new opportunities for optimization
  • Create, refine, and maintain policies and procedures and operational documentation
  • Manage business continuity and disaster recovery. Oversee annual DR tests
  • Partner with our observability team on key infrastructure monitoring and capacity initiatives
  • Work with SVP of Cloud Engineering & Operations and VP of Finance on vendor budgeting and risks associated with key vendors
  • Ensure infrastructure systems are achieving security SLA's for patch management and obsolete equipment has a planned replacement/upgrade cycle
  • Partner with project managers, peers and staff to ensure the successful delivery of technologies and processes
  • Participate in Incident Commander rotation for minimum 6 months
  • Participate as a Change Manager in our CAB process
  • Oversee teams responsible for day-to-day global operational support to ensure 24/7 availability of the service

What You'll Bring:

  • BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in an organization that supports and manages web-based applications
  • 7+ years working in infrastructure management preferably with a public cloud vendor
  • 7+ years of IT management and Capacity planning
  • Proven track record of leading and executing large-scale cloud migration and modernization projects
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks (FedRAMP a plus)
  • Experience building and managing high-performing infrastructure teams
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strategic vision and the ability to translate business needs into IT solutions

  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership role
  • Ability to communicate well with both business leaders and technical staff
  • Significant experience with open source platforms and technologies
  • Experience with software development processes and methodologies

Salary Range:

USD $234,000.00 - USD $312,000.00

Pay Transparency Statement:

Placement within this range depends upon several factors, including the applicant's prior relevant job experience, skill set, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, BlackLine also offers short-term and long-term incentive programs, based on eligibility, along with a robust offering of benefit and wellness plans.
