POSITION SUMMARY:

This position plays a pivotal role to help create and execute the company strategy for our Supply Chain with operational excellence and great customer service. The Sr. Director leads the department aimed at building the necessary process, infrastructure, and systems to create an integrated retail supply chain. The position applies a combination of strategic, operational, analytical and leadership skills to drive transformational change across all elements of supply chain, in coordination with other business functions. The position is the "right-hand" of the SVP, Supply Chain, leading a team who will bring extra horsepower to support the operational units to run more effectively and build long-term capabilities.

The position sees the whole picture and develops solutions that optimize the end-to-end supply chain from sourcing through to store operations. In addition, this position is responsible for ensuring product flow visibility through the supply chain. This person will also need to build the right Supply Chain Solutions team and organizational capabilities to achieve these objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Network Modeling and Design

• Lead long-term network modeling analysis to answer what the Supply Chain network should look like to support future growth
• Make recommendations on timing of investments, including building out the financial business case
• Establish capabilities to run alternative product flow analysis to support both short-term and long-term business cost and service goals
• Support peak season strategy and operational planning
• Develop board ready presentations to gain executive and cross functional alignment on Supply Chain plans for growth and execution

Continuous Improvement and Engineering

• Establish best practices across the supply chain to drive a continuous improvement culture
• Determine best practices across the ship centers and rollout to all facilities for aligned execution
• Optime the labor management system and continue system rollout across the remaining facilities
• Lead the ship center facility design efforts to include facility expansions and new buildings
• Deliver innovation, along with process and technology improvements, which drive cost and service improvements in support of Supply Chain commitments to the business

Supply Chain Analytics

• Determine the right tools and processes to develop a robust Supply Chain analytics function
• Identify the right skill sets and roles needed to build the analytics team
• Develop an analytics roadmap that is aligned with supply chain leadership to support cost and service objectives
• Eliminate redundancy and simplify reporting allowing for a glass pipeline of product visibility
• Establish a reporting hierarchy that extends from daily operations through to executive level reporting

Ecommerce Management

• Act as the key liaison with the business to align on the Supply Chain strategy to support the ecommerce business
• Partner with the ship centers to build execution plans
• Own the final mile carrier relationships, including cost and service
• Drive continuous improvement efforts to deliver cost leverage and best in class customer service
• Partner cross-functional to align on go forward Supply Chain capabilities and growth needed to support the business growth strategy

Project Management

• Develop processes to determine project goals, including expected business results and ROI criteria with Finance, to prioritize projects in the Supply Chain
• Drive discussions with the business to align on project resourcing
• Establish the right cadence for project updates and ensure projects remain on track to meet project goals
• Develop tools to easily show progress and identify any risks to project timelines
• Own the project management for complex cross-functional projects, such as ship center expansions or new buildings

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 15+ years experience in a retail supply chain environment
• Bachelor's Degree with a Masters preferred
• Knowledge operating or supporting various supply chain functions; distribution, logistics, supply chain planning, inventory management
• Experience planning and designing new distribution centers
• Supply chain strategy and network design experience
• Project Management history of delivering complex projects to meet business goals, including on time and on budget
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting and sometimes competing priorities
• Strong people skills, self-motivated and well-organized
• Demonstrated people leadership, team building and team development capabilities
• Ability to communicate and influence cross functionally throughout the business
• Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization from hourly crew members to the executive leadership team
