POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for overseeing transformation initiatives, and for developing and implementing Strategic Portfolio Management Office (SPMO) processes and policies working with the Corporate Planning team and other department leaders to define, prioritize, and develop projects and programs. In addition, this role will oversee some of the most challenging, highly visible, and highly complex projects in the Company; is instrumental in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the SPMO; ensuring the successful delivery of initiatives under BMI's Strategic Plan; and strategic alignment of project practices with business objectives.

LOCATION
Nashville, TN office. BMI has transitioned back to working in the office on a regular hybrid schedule. At present, most team members are expected in the office three (3) days a week. Decisions regarding future transitions will take place in phases as BMI continues to closely monitor COVID-19 as employee safety is our priority.

FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
Essential Functions: which may be representative, but not all inclusive of those commonly associated with this position.

  • Supports development of the Company's strategies by contributing information, analysis, and recommendations to strategic thinking and direction.
  • Leads the analysis, selection, and roll-out of SPMO tools as appropriate.
  • Provides the necessary training and facilitation skills to drive transformation activities and ensure long term adoption.
  • Ensures functional area deliverables are understood, cross-functionally aligned, and execution of deliverables and timelines are on track.
  • Leads and coordinates delivery of assigned projects.
  • Leads project quality and post-mortem functions to mitigate and address project delivery challenges in the support of continuous improvement efforts.
  • Prepares regular, thorough, and articulate executive summaries for senior leadership and stakeholders on portfolio and project status and performance, as well as SPMO performance.
  • Ensures strategic initiatives meet stated goals and objectives within the allotted budget, defined schedule, and parameters.
  • Monitors, refines, and tracks project budgets.
  • Develops and manages project plans, scopes of work, and schedules; develops milestones and conducts critical path monitoring.
  • Establishes and maintains program management governance frameworks, methodologies, standards, and best practices to guide program execution.
  • Conducts planning for and coordination of resources, taking into consideration inter and intra project and team dependencies.
  • Conducts regular project reviews to assess progress, risks, and resource requirements, escalating and resolving issues as needed.
  • Delivers executive presentations related to assigned projects.
  • Plans and facilitates meetings as appropriate; prepares and provides status updates to VP, Strategic Portfolio Management, SVP, Corporate Planning and others as appropriate.
  • Communicates the strategic vision and objectives of the VCP to ensure alignment with the Company's goals and priorities.
  • Leads, mentors, and manages SPMO team members as assigned, to ensure a high-performance work culture; coordinates efforts and activities with other teams as appropriate.
  • Defines and tracks key performance indicators (KPIs) and project metrics across the VCP portfolio.
  • Develops repeatable processes and templates to facilitate change impact analysis and actionable plans for change management.
  • Provides guidance on initiative change management plans and execution activities to ensure successful integration into our operations.
  • Serves as the bridge between the SPMO, Human Resources and Corporate Communications to maximize the impact of each department in driving change.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises and supports the development of departmental team members. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning, directing and ensuring reliability of work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining team members; addressing complaints and resolving problems.


POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education: Four (4) year bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent years of experience. MBA preferred.
Experience: Minimum of seven years of SPMO leadership work; five years of agile/scrum experience. Experience with corporate transactions, large scale transformations, consulting, or Music industry a plus.

SALARY RANGE
The specific base salary offered to a successful applicant will be based on individual qualifications, skills, experience, and education. The pay range is subject to change at any time based on various internal and external factors. The position may also be eligible for one or more performance-based bonuses.
