About the Role

Glassdoor is looking for a Sr. Director of Strategy & Analytics, to partner with our GTM leadership team to drive profitable growth in our Employer business. Sitting at the intersection of strategy and execution, this leader will balance customer centricity, with data driven insights, and close partnerships with our GTM leadership team to chart our multi-year strategic roadmap. They will deliver high quality strategic and scalable analytics in support of our top initiatives, and to ensure visibility into progress against our goals. This role will ultimately ensure that we have not only the right plans in place, but the right measurement and instrumentation to execute with fidelity on our growth journey.

As the leader of our GTM Strategy, Customer Strategy, and Analytics teams, you will coach, develop, and mentor some of our strongest analytical minds. As the ambassador for these functions, you will partner with leaders from across the organization to ensure we have the right priorities and cross-functional support to position our teams for success. We will look to you to provide thought leadership - in customer centricity, growth strategy, and analytical methodologies and data visualization. As a people-centric leader, you will also ensure that we build robust career paths and create opportunities for growth and development of our people. These efforts will help us build a world class GTM strategy and analytics function, that will drive sustainable growth in our business for years to come.

What You'll Do
  • Build and lead a diverse, high performing team of strategists and analysts responsible for:
    • Deeply understanding our customers, via customer analytics and voice of customer programs
    • Designing cohesive end-to-end customer journeys, in partnership with GTM leadership
    • Building and leveraging data and analytics products that drive better business decision making
    • Maintaining and improving business intelligence tools to democratize data access for GTM TeamsDeveloping and driving execution against our GTM strategy
  • Provide thought leadership to the business on Strategy and Analytics
    • Define what 'good' looks like for our customer strategy and business growth strategy
    • Challenge us to adopt innovative analytical approaches, while simplifying and driving focus on the insights that matter most
    • Partner with Glassdoor and Indeed GTM leadership teams to develop a holistic, multi-year, growth strategy, connecting the dots across areas of our partnership
  • Be a leader in the GTM Organization
    • Build deep relationships with GTM stakeholders to understand the landscape of strategic and analytical needs
    • Serve as a champion for the voice of the customer and data-driven decision making across GTM
    • Contribute to the development of annual and long-range strategic plans
    • Lead key change initiatives, and ensure the right cross-functional support for top strategic priorities

Key KPIs

This role supports nearly every function across our GTM organization, which means that we expect this leader to share broad ownership in our business outcomes:

  • Primary cross-functional KPIs
    • Revenue growth
      • New business bookings
      • Renewal rates
      • Upsells
    • Contribution margin
  • Functional KPIs:
      • Utilization of team-build resources (Internal dashboards, customer-facing reports, etc.)
      • Forecast accuracy
      • Execution rate against GTM-wide OKRs
What You'll Bring
  • 12+ years of relevant experience in strategy and analytics roles ; 3-5 years consulting experience preferred
  • Empathetic people-leader, with 5-7+ years experience building and leading high performance teams
  • Prior experience in fast-growth B2B SaaS business a plus

  • Track record of thinking strategically and analytically to solve complex business problems
  • Outstanding organizational and project management skills; relentlessly resourceful and able to unblock obstacles
  • High EQ; able to form trust-based relationships across the organization (up / down / sideways) and influence with or without authority
  • Strong communication skills; adept at simplifying complex issues and persuasively articulating concepts using data
  • Experience establishing and continually improving processes to enable data integrity and visibility
Compensation and Benefits

Base Salary Range: $181,500 - 340,300

Glassdoor base salaries are targeted to the market 75th percentile for technical roles and the 65th percentile for non-technical roles. In other words, 65-75% of comparable organizations in our industry will pay less.

Bonus: 25%

Bonuses are paid out bi-annually and the amount awarded is based on individual and company performance.

Generous Restricted Stock Units (RSU):

Restricted Stock Units (RSU) are awarded at hire and may be refreshed annually. Additionally, as a pay-for-performance company, RSU grant awards are presented bi-annually to exceptional performers.
