Pfizer is seeking a Senior Leader to lead its Market Research Insights organization for US & Global Specialty Care Business Unit, and to have ownership and accountability for establishing and leading a Market Research Center of Excellence, redefining market research at Pfizer, elevating and expanding our capabilities and offerings and building a best-in-class function. The MRI Specialty Care Business Unit & MR Excellence Lead will partner with the U.S. Specialty Care Business Unit President, Global Specialty Care Business Unit lead and the Chief Marketing Officer and their senior leadership teams to shape strategy and power a world-class commercial engine, and to ensure the best HCP, patient, and customer experiences to make Pfizer the most trusted health brand. The MRI Specialty Care Business Unit & MR Excellence Lead heads an organization that drives strategy for the 17 Global and US priority brands and assets in the Specialty Care Business Unit, advances insights-based organizational decision-making, and drives the vision and strategy for the Market Research Center of Excellence. This leader will have accountability across the Specialty Care Business Unit (US & Global) and MR Excellence, with accountability for 40-60M in market research budget and oversight of an organization of 18-20 colleagues. The successful candidate will partner with US & Global Specialty Care Business Unit, CMO, and CAAI leadership to identify strategic needs, develop research plans, manage the portfolio of research initiatives, and deliver clear and actionable recommendations to commercial leadership. They will have exceptional consultative skills and will be able to influence at all levels, from reports to peers to executive level, with a proven ability to align cross-functional stakeholders. This person is a strong collaborator, an expert in market research, accomplished in cultivating and developing talent, and an inspiring change and people leader. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES Leadership and Transformation: Lead and motivate an organization of high-performing cross-category market research leaders and thought partners embedded within US and Global brand product teams to achieve business objectives in alignment with brand and CMO goals. Cultivate a strong talent base and identify longer-term development needs for Market Research Insights. Establish and lead a Market Research Center of Excellence to elevate and expand our capabilities and offerings and build a best-in-class function. Champion the vision of the Market Research Insights team and promote knowledge sharing across business units and US/Global. Leverage industry knowledge to anticipate business needs and advance market research capabilities to maximize impact on the organization. Manage and prioritize OpEx and market research budgets, timelines, and resources, including identifying innovative solutions to champion cost savings without compromising research quality. Develop and maintain relationships with external research partners and vendors. Strategic and Business Impact: Lead an organization that shapes US and Global market research strategy aligned with Specialty Care Business Unit brands' business priorities. Partner with US & Global Specialty Care Business Unit and CMO senior leaders to establish priorities, influence business plans, and drive insight-based decision making for 17 Specialty Care brands and assets at the Business Unit level. Drive US and Global business impact by delivering insight-based recommendations to Specialty Care Business Unit and CMO Senior Leadership (VP and Executive Level) and the Specialty Care business. Engage with US & Global Specialty Care Business Unit Commercial leadership on portfolio strategy, and above-brand Specialty Care initiatives. Share best practices with business units within MRI and across CAAI. Define vision, strategic objectives, and a roadmap for the Market Research Center of Excellence, integrating best-in-class market research approaches that align with leading MR industry practice and support the needs of all US and Global Business units. Establish and direct a robust program of transformative, agile, and scalable research processes and approaches to maximize business impact. This program will create consistency and efficiencies across all including brand health tracking, consumer segmentation, creative testing, vendor partnerships, and others. Expand and transform research capabilities by identifying emerging trends and implementing innovative methodologies and best practices from a variety of industries, both proactively and in response to business questions and changing needs. Integrate Market Research Insights into the CMO Marketing Model and roll out Market Research transformation to MRI, Marketing, and Agency partners. Enhance knowledge management, design and implement systems and processes to identify, drive, and track savings. Enable and ensure MRI compliance with new approaches and processes. Champion market research as the foundation of insights-based decision-making. Qualifications: At least 15 years of experience as an insights professional, with progressive levels of responsibility leading teams. Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred (in marketing, market research or related field preferred but not required). Extensive experience managing and developing people and teams, including managing through change. Experience in leading or supporting transformation initiatives is an advantage. Leadership ability to drive collaboration across many cross-functional and expert teams. Experience leading and achieving results through matrixed organizations; ability to maintain strong cross-functional and cross-team ties to influence colleagues outside direct reporting structure. Exceptional consultative skills and extensive senior stakeholder management experience required. Experience working in a dynamic, results-driven environment. Exemplary leadership, oral and written communication skills, and organizational skills. The ability to filter and distill relevant information for the right audience.
